Meet Dr. Rachel Gilmore

Dr. Rachel GilmoreDr. Rachel Gilmore is an Alabama native, born and raised south of Birmingham in Alabaster, AL. She brings a deep commitment to her patients, driven by her personal understanding of chronic pain and the journey to becoming pain-free without limitations.

Her mission is to fill the gap in the current model of pain management, striving to make a positive impact on every individual by helping them empower, educate, and uplift themselves. Dr. Gilmore’s approach focuses on not just immediate relief, but long-term health and functional longevity.

Academically, Dr. Gilmore obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Montevallo in 2012, attending on academic and music scholarships. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University Kansas City (CU-KC) in 2020. Her clinical training was extensive, including internships with KC Care and the Kansas City Veterans Administration, and a robust outpatient preceptorship.

Dr. Gilmore possesses a vast knowledge base, drawing on many adjusting techniques, including Diversified, Thompson, and Webster. Her expertise extends deeply into functional assessment and movement, backed by multiple certifications such as SFMA, FMS 1, TPI-L1, USAWL-1, and OnBaseU. She also utilizes soft tissue techniques like RockTape (Taping, Blading) and FTMI (Functional Taping for MSK Injuries). She values a total-health approach, addressing lifestyle, nutrition, and habits, and often utilizes a multidisciplinary model when necessary to achieve maximal results.

A dedicated researcher, Dr. Gilmore continues her efforts as an adjunct faculty member at CU-KC and serves on the FICS Research Commission. She has presented research at numerous conferences, including international presentations at ACCRAC, and has been involved in lobbying efforts for the profession at the National Chiropractic Leadership Conference (NCLC) in the past.

On a personal note, Dr. Gilmore enjoys spending time with her 5 year old son, firefighter husband, German shepherd, and two cats. She loves all things fitness, especially boxing, and enjoys reading, tending to her plants, spending time on the beach, listening to live music, and traveling.
